Split type electromagnetic flowmeter

Split type electromagnetic flowmeter

What are the main applications of the split electromagnetic flowmeter? Xi'an Huaheng Instrument  explains for you in detail: mainly in measuring the volume flow of conductive liquid or conductive mixed solution in the pipeline.

The medium can be acid or alkali, or it can be any kind of water medium, even sewage. (Pure water can not be measured) Split type electromagnetic flowmeter has a wide range of applications. Metallurgy, petroleum, chemical and other heavy industries can be used, textile, paper, pharmaceutical Light industry can also be used. It is also very useful in urban construction. Municipal management, sewage pipeline design, municipal water supply, and environmental monitoring can all be used.

Advantages of split electromagnetic flowmeter:

First, when measuring, there is no product component that can hinder the flow of the medium, there is no pressure loss, and there is not much requirement for the straight pipe section during installation.

Second, the accuracy of the measurement does not affect the density, pressure, temperature, etc. of the medium.

Third, the split type allows the display instrument to be displayed remotely for easy reading and control.

Fourth, the pipe diameter can be selected in a wide range, and the sensor and lining materials are more selective, which can be suitable for more occasions.

Fifth, it can be pulsed, current, HART475/375, 485 and other output options, which is convenient for other products on site.

Installation and maintenance of the split electromagnetic flowmeter:

A negative pressure prevention valve is added in the vicinity of the split electromagnetic flowmeter, and the valve is opened to the atmospheric pressure to prevent a negative pressure from being generated in the sensor. When a vertical pipe is connected downstream of the split type electromagnetic flowmeter, if the upstream valve of the flow sensor is used to close or adjust the flow rate, a negative pressure will be formed in the sensor measuring tube. To prevent negative pressure, add back pressure or use a downstream valve to regulate and shut off the flow. Proper electromagnetic flowmeters have appropriate maintenance space. Large-diameter flowmeters are often installed in instrumentation wells. For the convenience of pipeline installation, wiring, inspection and maintenance, proper space is required. For the convenience of observation, wiring and maintenance, the instrument should be installed at a certain height from the ground to facilitate cleaning and installation.
